New Package Homes!It's about time. Finally, we are able to offer to our Customers a choice in a LOW COST starter homes. When I started this project, I wanted to develop a group of small homes with the young couples, couples with kids, older retiring couples, and first time home builders in mind. Whether you are just starting off life with your new partner, looking to build a home for your kids or are settling down to enjoy life after many years of work, whether you are married or single, we all need a place to call home.
Maybe I'm old fashioned or maybe I'm just being nostalgic. I remember when my Mom and Dad bought our first family Home. It was your standard Ranch - 2 bedroom, 1 bath with a single car garage on a 1/2 acre lot about 45 minutes from St.Louis. They paid $27,500 for that home. It was 1976, Dad worked as a Diesel Mechanic and Mom stayed home. We weren't wealthy by any means, but Dad and Mom could afford the mortgage and we always had plenty of food on the table. My Sister and I didn't have XBOX or Playstation. We didn't have computers or the internet and cell phones to text our friends. Mom would run us outside after breakfast and we would spend summer days entertaining ourselves by riding our bicycles or walking the mile or so to our friends home were we would play, explore the neighborhood or go fishing in the local creek. In the evening, Dad would be home by 6 and supper was always on the table.
Now, at the end of the day, no matter what time of year it is, whenever I think back that time in my life, I miss my sister, my friends, the fun we had, but mostly, I miss that old house. It wasn't fancy. It wasn't big. But it was our home.
I heard from an old friend that it's gone now. Bulldozed and leveled to make room for a new subdivision... I guess that's why I came up with these homes.
If I could bring back one thing from that time, change one thing in this country, I'd like to bring back a time when the average working folks of this country could afford a place of their own. Someplace that they can call home.

Treated Wood Post Foundation Option
"Wooden Post for a foundation?" Yes, you heard right. Let's look at this for a moment. Homes and buildings have been constructed on wooden columns and post for decades. One only needs to do a quick Google search to find that in many areas across the country and around the world, it is still the foundation of choice. While concrete is considered to be the superior choice of materials for a foundation, sometimes it is just not feasible to do so. Due to location, building site soil conditions, budget constraints or some other reason, a monolithic pour concrete slab or footer & stem wall foundation is simply not the right choice for some folks. While that's not to say it can't be done, there are just some occasions that warrant a different approach. If you think this option may be right for you and your unique situation, give us a call. We offer the following as an option.
